The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles & Futurelink Bring Critical Technology to Local Communities

Donation of computers will help close the digital divide and provide access to distance learning and online resources

Los Angeles, Calif. (August 5, 2020) Boys & Girls Club of Metro Los Angeles received a gift of 70 desktop computers to increase technological access for students and families. The donation, provided by Futurelink, Inc. and its non-profit STEAM Literacy partner, iFusionFoundation, will help families with the much-needed lifeline of having a computer.

“Access to a computer and internet, particularly during this challenging time, is critical for our youth and their families,” said Veronica Jimenez, vice president of operations at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles. “This is how our students attend school and their families obtain the needed resources and support. We are grateful for this partnership which helps our families to remain connected.”

“STEAM Education is the basis for solving some of the many complex social and economic gaps in our community,” added Neha Arya, president of Futurelink. “During this pandemic, the challenges have only gotten greater with families not even having access to a computer at home, which these days is literally a lifeline keeping people connected. This extremely unique collaboration between Arabian Prince, Futurelink, iFusion Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles will fundamentally impact lives through computer donations. It serves to inspire and sets a blueprint for how we can come together and rise during this challenging time. Futurelink is honored and excited to be part of this amazing project!”

This donation was facilitated through a partnership with Arabian Prince, one of the founding members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted rap group N.W.A. Arabian Prince is committed to advancing technology to the next generation of youth and lends his expertise to support youth and Boys & Girls Clubs across the Los Angeles area.

It’s a decade shaped by purpose, partnership, and a shared belief that every young person deserves a safe place to discover who they are, what they love, and all they can become. While this anniversary celebrates a moment in time, our story spans generations. It’s rooted in legacy, strengthened through unity, and driven forward by the youth, families, and communities we serve every day. LOS ANGELES, CA - AUGUST 7, 2025 - At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles, we’re dedicated to creating safe, empowering spaces where young people can reach their full potential. For the past seven years, the Los Angeles Chargers and the Chargers Impact Fund have helped bring that vision to life through literacy, mental wellness, and culturally relevant programs that meet youth where they are. Less than a year after announcing a $400,000 capital investment in 2018, the Chargers and the Spanos family unveiled a revitalized athletic field and teen center at our Watts/Willowbrook Club. In partnership with Bob's Discount Furniture , they reimagined key Club facilities into vibrant, youth-centered environments built for connection and belonging. Today, these spaces remain active, welcoming hubs, whether kids are racing through obstacle courses on the field or teens are unwinding, studying, and fostering community in a space they can truly call their own.
